Il Professore è uno scienziato che vive isolato dal mondo nel deserto del Nevada, accanto all’Area 51. Dovrebbe lavorare ad un progetto segreto per il governo degli Stati Uniti, ma in realtà passa le sue giornate su un divano ad ascoltare il suono dello spazio. Il suo solo contatto con il mondo è Stella, una ragazza che organizza matrimoni per i turisti a caccia di alieni. Ma l’esistenza solitaria del Professore viene rivoluzionata dall’arrivo dei due giovani nipoti da Napoli: Anita 16 anni e Tito 7, che il fratello Fidel gli affida prima di morire. I ragazzi arrivano aspettandosi Las Vegas e invece si ritrovano in mezzo al nulla, nelle mani di uno zio squinternato, in un luogo strano e misterioso dove si dice che vivano gli alieni.

Professor Biondi is a depressed scientist.
After his wife’s death, he lives isolated from the world in the Nevada desert, near Area 51. He supposedly works on a top-secret project for the US government, but in actuality, he spends his days on the couch, listening to the sound of the Universe. His only contact with the outside world is Stella, who organizes alien-themed weddings for tourists on the prowl for extra-terrestrials.
One day the Professor receives a message from Naples: his dying brother is entrusting him with his two children, so that they may live with him in America.
Anita (16) and Tito (7) arrive expecting the legendary brightening lights of Las Vegas, but instead, they find themselves in the middle of nowhere, in the hands of their nutty uncle and in a weird, mysterious place where aliens are said to live…

Nachdem Film: Gespräch mit der Regisseurin PAOLA RANDI

Ein verwitweter Wissenschaftler arbeitet in der Area 51 in Nevada an einem geheimen Weltraumprojekt der US Regierung. Sein einziger Kontakt zur Außenwelt is Stella, Bedienung des örtlichen Diners. Eines Tages bekommt er eine Nachricht von seinem Bruder aus Italien. Er wird bald sterben und der Bruder soll sich nun um seine Kinder kümmern. Als die Kinder kommen, können sie es kaum erwarten den großen amerikanischen Professor und das Leben in Las Vegas kennenzulernen. Was sie allerdings erwartet sind ein kauziger Onkel, die Wüste und die Geheimnisse der Area 51
